Context & Purpose of Role

We’re Evergreen Life and we’re on a mission to increase everybody’s healthy and happy years. We’re looking for blue sky thinkers, passionate personalities, and diligent doers to help us make good change happen. We develop software applications and solutions to support this and make great use of cutting edge technology.

Health and wellness are woven into our cultural fabric. It’s what we do and who we are. But we don’t just talk the talk, we believe in prioritising the wellbeing of everyone that works for us. That means cycle to work schemes, fresh fruit, nutritious snacks, life insurance and accessible mental health support, all backed up by an open, honest and friendly culture so you can thrive in a happy and healthy environment.

We are looking for a delivery-focused individual to own the operational cadence and administrative backbone of our end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

In this role, you will manage projects from business case and ideation through engineering build, commercial handover, and post-deployment monitoring. You will act as the operational connective tissue across our Product, Technology, and Engineering teams - keeping delivery honest, visible, and unblocked - from governance and reporting through to release management, freeing engineering leadership to focus on technical direction. The role would best suit someone who has had a few years’ experience of software delivery and is ready to take that next step with more responsibility and potential to develop seniority in their career.

Responsibilities:

Delivery Management & SDLC Oversight

  • End-to-End Ownership: Track delivery across the entire SDLC—from initial ideation and business case through to technical build, post-release monitoring, and commercial handover.
  • Roadmap Accuracy: Maintain a dynamic, accurate view of current delivery progress and upcoming engineering plans for leadership and wider business visibility.
  • Team Commitments & Flow: Partner with engineering and product teams to help them meet commitments, clear blockers, and streamline cross-functional communication.
  • Agile Operational Support: Provide hands-on administrative support for Scrum/Kanban frameworks, ensuring ticket hygiene, sprint ceremonies, and backlog prioritisation run smoothly.
  • Release & Incident Coordination: Oversee release management schedules and support operational incident response workflows to ensure smooth rollouts and quick resolutions.

Standards, Communication & Team Health

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as a central communication bridge between ICs, senior, and executive leadership.
  • Meeting & Agenda Ownership: Own the cadence, agendas, and actionable outputs for key engineering and delivery meetings.
  • Process Improvement & Morale: Proactively identify workflow inefficiencies, eliminate pain points for developers, and monitor team sentiment to maintain high morale and high-quality outputs.
  • Standards Enforcement: Help define, uphold, and enforce engineering and delivery standards across all projects.

Governance, Compliance & Financial Ops

  • QMS & SDLC Compliance: Support internal governance by ensuring processes align with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant regulatory frameworks, escalate when they do not
  • Operational Reporting: Own and maintain the engineering Risk Register, delivery metrics, capacity/utilisation tracking, and time-recording reporting.
  • Financial Admin: Manage engineering-related financial reporting, Purchase Orders (POs), and vendor invoice reconciliation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project/Delivery Manager in a software development environment, covering the full SDLC
  • Exposure to cloud environments, modern software applications, or SaaS product delivery
  • Experience interacting with stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams with competing priorities and dependencies
  • Experience using Agile delivery approaches such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Ability to maintain accurate project plans, roadmaps, risks, actions and delivery reports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with project management, issue tracking and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence

Personal Attributes

  • Highly organised and dependable
  • Proactive rather than reactive
  • Pragmatic and focused on outcomes
  • Able to gather and communicate difficult information clearly and objectively
  • Persistent in following actions through to completion
  • Confidence constructively challenging senior stakeholders and technical delivery teams
  • Collaborative, but willing to challenge poor practice or unclear accountability
  • Ability to identify obstacles and drive issues towards resolution
  • Ability to distinguish between useful governance and unnecessary bureaucracy
  • Interested in improving both delivery performance and team effectiveness.
  • Unafraid to dig into complex blockers and simplify communication paths across teams.
  • Firm stance on upholding high standards and governance without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Skilled at detecting early signs of team friction or low morale and escalating to leadership

Advantageous:

  • Experience in a regulated or clinical-safety environment (e.g. NHS, DCB0129/0160, healthtech)
  • Experience with governance/QMS reporting (risk registers, audits, compliance documentation)
