Context & Purpose of Role
As Evergreen Life continues to strengthen its market-led divisional model, we are investing in data capability within our Product function to drive disciplined execution, measurable outcomes, and evidence-based decision making.
The Graduate Data Analyst will sit within the Product function and support Product Managers, Engineering, and other divisional leaders and functions with high-quality analysis across product usage, customer behaviour, and performance metrics.
This role is designed as an entry-level development opportunity for a graduate with strong analytical capability and commercial curiosity. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience working with real product and performance data, helping to shape roadmap prioritisation, improve user experience, and enhance reporting discipline across the organisation.
The role will play an important part in ensuring that product decisions are supported by robust data, clear KPIs, and consistent reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Support Product Managers with analysis of user behaviour, engagement, retention, and feature performance.
- Assist in defining, tracking, and reporting on core product KPIs across divisions.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to provide clear visibility of product and performance metrics.
- Analyse trends and variances against targets or forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Support experimentation and A/B testing by gathering, analysing, and interpreting results.
- Work closely with Engineering and Data colleagues to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Contribute to the standardisation of product and performance reporting frameworks.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support roadmap decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Translate complex data into clear, concise insights suitable for both operational and senior stakeholders.
- Ensure all data handling complies with UK GDPR and internal governance standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn across functions, with potential opportunities over time to gain broader exposure across Product, Development and Engineering teams as part of the graduate development pathway.
- Participate in cross-functional discussions to understand divisional objectives and align data insight accordingly.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
- Recent graduate in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or similar analytical discipline.
- Strong numerical and analytical capability.
- High proficiency in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation).
- Ability to structure data and draw logical, evidence-based conclusions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to problem solving.
- Curiosity about digital products and how data informs decision-making.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving technology environment.
Desirable
- Exposure to SQL and/or data querying tools.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms.
- Understanding of product performance metrics (e.g. conversion, retention, engagement, churn).
- Awareness of digital product lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Basic understanding of commercial and operational performance indicators.
- Knowledge of data governance and data protection principles.
